UPS-Server
This was originally my very first laptop, bought when i was studying at the University of Leeds. Back then, it was a reasonable laptop, and ran fine for what i needed it for. These days, this old clunker is good for only two duties, which used to do while locked away under my desk in the darkness; It would monitor my UPS for outages, as the Leibert software would not work correctly on my Linux or FreeBSD machines, and it acted as a drop-point for images scanned with my scanner, as the scanner wouldn't work with Linux or FreeBSD either. Apart from those two duties, this machine was an antique and a dinosaur, with very little use whatsoever. Once these two functions were supported by Linux, this machine was relegated to the scrapheap.
